Potty Progress

I'm happy to say this is the first official post about potty training. I haven't been pushing potty training at all, pretty much the opposite actually. Sheer exhaustion from having a newborn made me not want to even think about potty training, that combined with Wesley's utter lack of caring made it easy to circumnavigate the whole concept. Yet I knew one day Wesley would start showing an interest. That day was this past Friday evening. He decided he wanted to sit on that nifty little potty chair (that's been sitting around for a year now). So we took off his clothes and he sat on it. Then every night before bath time Sean would have him sit on it if he wanted to. Then the other night he decided to urinate in the potty. He was so excited. We were so excited. So now he does it every evening. I've stocked the bathroom with a little candy jar full of M&M's and Smarties. It's proving to be a good reward system and thus potty training has officially started. Wish us luck.
